Sheffield Countryside Conservation Trust
Practical conservation development and management
SCCT runs a number of different conservation volunteering tasks specifically with business groups in mind on a number of our sites throughout Sheffield for a minimal fee, which will help towards the running of the charity.
Regular events are held with the hope that a sense of ownership will be created when your employees come to us again.
Among the tasks for business groups are:
Dry stone walling: Full training will be given on the traditional art of dry stone walling
Hedge laying: Full training will be given on the traditional art of hedge laying
Litter picking: Help restore the natural beauty of a site by removing litter
Meadow management: Help develop our beautiful meadows in the summer
Species control: Help us remove Himalayan Balsam; a beautiful but invasive plant
Woodland management: Full training in woodland management will be given whilst you help us manage our woodland sites
Do not hesitate to contact us and/or pass on these details to other colleagues to arrange a work day
